He explains that the lesson from this parable is that Jesus takes drastic measures to find those that are far from him. He then talks about four attitudes people can have toward those far from God, we can hate them, we can be apathetic toward them, we can welcome them when they come to us, or we can do what Jesus would do and seek them.
