The disciples were sent by Jesus to go into all the world and preach the gospel.

In this sermon Pastor George Wright explains that after Jesus' death on the cross, all the disciples had gone into hiding out of fear of persecution. When they saw the risen Jesus he reassured them that they were not alone, and he filled them with The Holy Spirit. He then teaches us that the disciples were sent by Jesus to go into all the world and preach the gospel. He reminds us that we, as followers of Jesus, are tasked with the same responsibility.
